About Dr. Heiber
I am a board-certified psychiatrist who completed medical school, residency and fellowship at Northwestern University, where I also worked for a number of years as full-time faculty and continue as Clinical Assistant Professor. I provide treatment for a variety of general mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety, while also having expertise in the care of mental health symptoms that interplay with medical problems.
My approach is centered on meeting patients where they are at, valuing collaboration that fosters an alliance grounded in trust and empathy. I take pride in seeing the person in the patient, and taking the time to do so. Together we can explore and pursue options in medications and psychotherapy to find your Vital Balance: emotional and physical wellness.
My focus is in adults 18- 64 years old, and for those who may need it, I am glad to provide care in Spanish, as I am a native speaker.
